Supply Chain & Manufacturing Trainee
About the role
Laerdal Medical is launching a new trainee position within Supply Chain & Manufacturing, designed to develop broad competence across planning, logistics, and procurement. The program involves structured job rotation across three departments over approximately two years, with hands-on operational responsibility throughout — not just observation.
The working language is English.
Programme structure
Planning & Scheduling (4–6 months)
- Production scheduling and forecasting
- Coordinating global demand planning with the manufacturing plan
- Quality assurance of forecasts and proactive capacity communication
- Understanding picking, packing, and shipping processes
- Order processing, planning, and coordination, including intercompany processes
Logistics (6–8 months)
- Planning and forecasting support
- Operational support for the EMEA region
- Indirect spend support with focus on freight
- Working with IFS, Power BI, and AI-based insight tools
- Collaboration with warehouse and logistics service providers
Sourcing & Procurement (up to 10 months)
- Purchasing fundamentals and procurement processes
- ERP systems, purchase orders, goods receipt, inventory and quality follow-up
- Product and value stream knowledge
- Compliance basics (REACH, RoHS, ISO, certifications)
- Analytical work using Power BI and performance management
- Introduction to sourcing activities, including onboarding new components
Qualifications
- Student or recent graduate within supply chain, logistics, engineering, business, or a related field
- Comfortable working with data, systems, and digital tools
- Curious, structured, and motivated to learn across disciplines
- Strong communicator across functions and cultures
- Team player with an interest in both operational detail and the broader supply chain picture
