Commissioning Engineer Electro

About the role

Dovre Group is looking for a Commissioning Engineer Electro for a client assignment at the Mongstad refinery. The position runs on a 14/21-day rotation schedule from ASAP to 29 January 2027.

Responsibilities

• Execute commissioning activities in accordance with project procedures and safety standards
• Ensure safe energization and functional testing of electrical installations
• Perform system walkdowns and verify completion of outstanding work before handover
• Commission systems in line with project milestones and client expectations
• Collaborate with construction, engineering and operations to resolve commissioning issues
• Support integrated commissioning across disciplines
• Prepare and maintain commissioning documentation — test records, punch lists and handover packages
• Participate in planning and progress meetings with updates on status and challenges

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in completion work within the oil and gas industry
• Minimum 2 years of experience with ProCoSys and the DCP (Digital Commissioning Procedure) module
• Field experience with commissioning activities
• Familiarity with the Mongstad refinery is an advantage
• Experience preparing commissioning procedures
• Process knowledge and understanding of control systems
• Certificate of Apprenticeship, bachelor's or master's degree
• Norwegian language proficiency — native or bilingual level required
