Appear ASA develops live production technology for tier-1 media, entertainment and sports customers worldwide. The Development department is looking for a Python Test Developer to help ensure the quality of one of the industry's most advanced live production platforms, working across a cross-functional team of over 100 engineers spanning hardware, software, FPGA and QA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Python-based tests on embedded systems
  • Collaborate with SW, FPGA and HW developers to define test acceptance criteria
  • Develop automated tests, internal test tools and frameworks for low-latency, high-bandwidth media systems
  • Design, maintain and improve Continuous Integration build and test pipelines
  • Maintain test lab equipment and help improve infrastructure
  • Stay up to date with new testing technologies and methodologies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Science or a related field
  • 2–10 years of experience in test automation, test framework and tool development, preferably for embedded or network systems
  • Strong Python skills and an interest in structured, quality-oriented code
  • Experience with CI/CD or test automation frameworks is an advantage
  • Experience with monitoring, logging and test reporting tools is an advantage
  • Curiosity about video, networking or embedded systems is a plus
